Holiday Chocolate Trifle

It is Holiday! I made Holiday Chocolate trifle which is all made of chocolate from the button layer to the top layer. Chocolate lovers will love the rich chocolate taste.

The ingredients below are for 4 cups of trifles.

1. 114 gram Brownie mix (1/4 package of brownies mix), vegetable oil, egg, water based on the directions on package. Usually you will need 4 tbsp water, 1/8 cup vegetable oil, and 1/2 egg.

2. Chocolate mousse/pudding:

2 egg yolks, sugar 15g, 25 ml milk, 50 ml heavy whipping cream,150 grams semisweet chocolate chips, 5 grams gelatin powder

2-1.120 ml heavy cream, 1 tbsp sugars 

3. White chocolate whipping cream:

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/8 cup white chocolate pudding powders, 1 tsp sugar

4. Chocolate antlers topping 

15 gram Semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Mix all the ingredients in (1) and bake at 325 F for 25 minutes. Take the brownies from the oven and wait until it cool completely, then dice the brownies into 1 inch to 1 inch. Put the brownie bites into the button of the glass.

2. Heat all the ingredients (2) except for chocolate chips to 175 F, and turn off stove and add chocolate chips to stir until it well blended. When the chocolate mousse is cool, fold in the rest of ingredients of (2-1). 

3. Whipped ingredients (3) until it stiffens. 

4. Piping the chocolate mousse and then white chocolate whipping cream. Repeat the layers. You can add any topping to decorate the trifle. Happy Holidays! Enjoy the chocolate trifle🤩

Fall Color in Helen (Unicoi State Park)

Unicoi State Park

It was Fall! The foliage was so beautiful! We went up North and visited Unicoi State Park two weeks ago.

I took this picture on the way to Unicoi Park. With the light and shade, the trees look like on fire. 

Usually the best time to see the changing of leaves is around mid October to late October. The peak is at late October. Sometimes, there are still some red/yellow leaves until the beginning of November.

The north Georgia has some good spots to enjoy the beautiful views. The below is the North Georgia map from state park website.

They have very clear signs of lake trail. You can park in any picnic point and walk down to the lake and you will see the sign.

There is a swimming beach and deck, it is very pretty and fun for kids to play. The trail is very easy, we had a wonderful experience of leaf watching.

 

We walked across the bridge and dam. Apparently the bridge was built on 1996.The reflection looks amazing in the lake.

The state park also has few cabins, and zip lines and camping ground.

We went to Rib Country BBQ for lunch.Their BBQ is so delicious and tender. I ordered wet beef brisket BBQ. They have two options - wet and dry. Wet is the fat portion and the dry is the leaner portion of beef. This is my husband’s favorite BBQ place in North Georgia.

Amy’s ladies night! Our ladies night is to go to Korean restaurant because they have everything 50% off on Wednesday night🤣 We got four big dishes - spicy blue crab 🦀, pork belly, spicy chicken feet, stir fry pork. They are so delicious!If you like spicy food, you will like it. Only $18 including tax and tips per person! Because most of people going to see BlackPink concert, we only waited in line for few minutes! 

Usually, there are long lines on Wednesday night, because of 50% off. I like the chicken feet most, it is their house special dish. 

Because they have everything 50% off, they don’t allow people to-go if you have leftover. That’s make sense, just in case people abuse the promotion ordering more food than they need. 

The inside of the restaurant is cozy, and they have private booths. It is also good place to dine in with friends and family. 

They don’t do reservations on Wednesday, have to put names in the waitlist in person.
